Terms

These are the plain-English terms. They’re a starting point and should be
reviewed by a solicitor before you trade.

What we are

We’re a marketplace. We introduce customers to independent deliverers who shop
on their behalf. We’re not the retailer and we’re not employing the deliverer:
they’re self-employed and set their own prices, hours and coverage.

Payment

We take payment on the deliverer’s behalf, deduct our commission, and pass on
the rest. The amount held on your card at checkout is an estimate; the amount
taken is what was actually spent.

Age-restricted goods

Alcohol and tobacco are handed over only on production of valid ID. If ID can’t
be produced, those items are not handed over and not charged for.

Liability

Deliverers are responsible for the care of your shopping between the shop and
your door. We’re responsible for the service working, and for putting things
right when it doesn’t.
